Cinemocean was founded by Trygve Heide after completing a bachelor’s degree majoring in Screen Production and Biology, an honours degree in Documentary Film and a master’s degree in Marine Biology. For his masters he used underwater camera traps to study seal behaviour. He has continued doing freelance work as a researcher, developer and camera operator for Red Rock Films International as well as worked as a cinematographer and editor for the Norwegian Broadcasting Coorporation (NRK). He has worked as a Director of Photography on a documentary called Scarlet’s Tale and directed a documentary called TIDAL. Both told stories about the ocean and both were nominated for the SAFTAs.
